How To Draw Rectangles With 3 Point Center Rectangle Command In Solidworks?
To draw rectangles with 3 Point Center Rectangle command, click on the little pop-up menu as shown by blue arrow above then click on the 3 Point Center Rectangle command as shown in blue box in Solidworks.
After entering to the 3 Point Center Rectangle command in Solidworks, select a proper plane or feature surface to draw rectangle.
After entering to the command, you need to select the center point of the rectangle as shown by blue arrow above. The blue box region show your cursor location according to the first seelcted center of the rectangle in 3 Point Center Rectangle command.
After the selection of center point as shown by green arrow above, seelct the second point as shown by red arrow above. The relation between first selected center point and the second point will be as blue line above. The red box region shows the third point cursor location according to center point in Solidworks sketching.
The rectangle is created as above with the 3 Point Center Rectangle command.
If you select the ‘For Construction’ option as in red box above, the drawn geometry will be as shown by red arrow in Solidworks.
Also you can enter the 3 Point Center Rectangle corner locations as X and Y manually as shown in red box above. You can enter the Center Point location of 3 Point Center Rectangle as shown in green box in Solidworks.
