The difference in the pulfroming process is the products that are produced. Products can have different cross-sections and different shapes other than the regular parts.
If you think about the whole system of the pultrusion process, there are the addition of two types of machinery. The first one is the shaping die. In shaping dies, the circular cross-sectioned part is entered and get out from the shaping die. In this die, the continuous part has a different cross-section.
After this shaping dies, the continuous part is entered inside the shoe die. In this shoe die, the continuous part will take a semi-circular shape other than a straight rod. The part is forced inside the shoe die to take the semi-circular shape of the die.
Then the parts are cut into semi-circular shapes at the end of the pulforming process.
The most produced parts are the leaf-springs that are used in automotive products.
