Blend Curves Command In Autocad Sketching(Illustrated Expression)

Blend Curves is very useful command that you can fit complementary curve between two non-intersecting curver. Sometimes it can be very hard to create this kind of features with other commands. In this article we will explain the use of ‘Blend Curves’ command in Autocad with a very basic example below.

How To Use Blend Curves Command In Autocad?

Click on ‘Blend Curves’ command in Autocad.

For example we want to fit a continuity curve between the edges of the curves that shown by red arrow above. To do this in a very basic way, click on little pop-up menu as shown by green arrow then click on ‘Blend Curves’ command in Autocad shown in green box.

Click on ‘Continuity’ option in ‘Blend Curves’ command.

Click on ‘Continuity’ option to select a curve fitting option in ‘Blend Curves’ command.

Select one of these two options in ‘Blend Curves’ command.

There istwo of options as ‘Tangent’ and ‘Smooth’ as in red box above. Sekect one of them for your wish about the fit curve shape. After the selection of an option, just click on the curves respectively.

‘Tangent’ option is selected for curve fitting with ‘Blend Curves’ command.

If you select the tangent option, the created curve will be tangent to the selected curves as shown by red arrow above in ‘Blend Curves’ command in Autocad.

‘Smooth’ option is selected for curve fitting with ‘Blend Curves’ command.

If you select the ‘Smooth’ option in ‘Blend Curve’ command in Autocad, the created curve as shown by red arrow above will have smooth transition between the selected curves. But will not be tangent to selected curves.
