Creating And Working With Views In ANSYS Mechanical Graphics Window

Creating and working with default views can be very useful when you are working with a very complex project in ANSYS Mechanical. Sometimes, it can be very hard to adjust the view of a portion of model or geometry. If you create a view that has this adjustment, you can use this view to go to this view easily, and you do not need to adjust this view again and again. In here, we explain how to do this in ANSYS Mechanical, on a very basic example.

How To Create A View In ANSYS Mechanical?

Click on ‘Manage Views’.

To create a view in ANSYS Mechanical, click on ‘View’ menu as shown by green arrow above then hover your mouse on ‘Windows’ section. From dop-down menu, click on ‘Manage Views’ as shown in green box above.

After entering into the ‘Manage Views’ window, adjust your specific view about your geometry or model first, as shown by green arrow above. Then, click on ‘Create a View’ as shown by red arrow above.

Download And Install ANSYS R17!

This orientation of view, will be saved on this created view. From now on, you can go to that specific view, just clicking on created new view in ANSYS Mechanical.

You need to just double click on the created views go to these views imemdiately on graphics window.

There some of options for managing views as shown in red box above. From left to right; Delete the selected view, Apply the selected view which you can do it by double clicking with your mouse. Rename the view which you can give the apparent names to your views. Replace this view with current view on graphics window. And finally import or export the views.
