Drawing Circle In Solidworks Sketching(Illustrated Expression)

Circle sketches can be very starting point for various 3D geometries in Solidworks. So in this article we will show you how to draw circle with Circle command and what are the whole features of Circle command in Solidworks. How To Draw A Circle In Solidworks?

Click on Sketch in Solidworks.

To start the drawin skecthes with Line command, click on the Sketch button as shown by red arrow above in Solidworks.

Select a plane to sketch in Solidworks.

After the entering to the skecthing mode, select a planet o create sketch in Solidworks.

Click on Circle command.

To draw circles in Solidworks, click on Circle command as shown by red arrow above.

In Circle command, we have two types of Circle drawing options as in red box above. In the first one, we select a center then the radius respectively. In second one, we select three points respectively to obtain a circle in Solidworks.

As you can see above, we drew a circle by selecting a center first as shown by red arrow, then selected the radius point as shown by green arrow, with the first method of circle in Solidworks.

3 Point circle drawing.

We created a circle with the second method of Circle command, as shown by green box. We selected 3 points respectively, as shown by green arrows above in Solidworks.

Obtaining circles in Solidworks is easy like that.
