Giving Horizontal Orientation To A Sketch In Solidworks(Illustrated Expression)
There are bunch of kinds of relation types in Solidworks sketching. We explained all of them how to apply these relations in Solidworks, at articles of Mechanical Base. In this content, we explained how to give vertical relation to Solidworks sketch entities, with a very basic example below.
As you see above, for example we have a line that is not vertical in Solidworks sketching. And we want this line to be vertical in Solidworks sketching again. To do it, just click on that line segment to make it vertical.
After clicking on line segment in Solidworks to make it vertical, ‘Line Properties’ will be opened at the left side of Solidworks interface. What you need to do is, click on ‘Vertical’ option from ‘Add Relations’ section as shown by green box above. Then click little yes button as shown by red arrow above.
A little vertical relation icon is shown at near of line segment as shown by green arrow.
Also you can delete that ‘Vertical’ relation by right clicking on little icon as shown by red arrow above, then click on ‘Delete’ in Solidworks.
Giving vertical relations in Solidworks sketch entities is very easy like above. Do not forget to leave your comments and questions about ‘Vertical’ relation in Solidworks sketching below!
