Obtaining Intersection Curves In SolidWorks(Illustrated Expression)
You can rotate the sketch entities in Solidworks sketching. The command that rotates the sketch entities is called as ‘Rotate Entities’. In this article we will explain the use of ‘Rotate Entities’ command in Solidworks with a very basic example below.
To use the ‘Rotate Entities’ command in Solidworks sketching, you need to be inside an active sketch as above. For example we want to rotate the rectangle above from the point that is shown by orange arrow above. To do this, click on little pop-up menu as shown by green arrow then click on ‘Rotate Entities’ inside orange box.
After entering into the ‘Rotate Entities’ command, click to select the entities to rotate from green box as shown by green arrows above. Click to select the center of rotation point as shown by red arrow above. Then enter an angle value for rotating the sketch around the selected point from red box above.
To complete the rotation of selected sketch entities in Solidworks with ‘Rotate Entities’ command, click on little green yes button as shown by blue arrow above.
